Job Description

IMPORTANT: This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. Candidates without MSP experience will not be considered.

 

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead client-facing technology projects in a fast-paced MSP environment. This role owns projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and with a high level of client trust.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic projects across diverse IT landscapes, including cloud computing, enterprise software, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing proven project management methodologies, and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams. Your leadership will ensure the successful delivery of projects that align with organizational goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support digital transformation efforts.

 

Our project division is growing, and you will be responsible for overseeing 2 project engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects utilizing methodologies such as Agile, Kanban, etc. to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Ability to provide KPIs and reporting for the Project Division
  • Develop detailed project plans using tools like Microsoft Project, Visio, and project management software within our own Ticketing system; monitor progress through project scheduling and status reporting.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria; create comprehensive test cases for user acceptance testing (UAT) and system validation.
  • Manage project risks by conducting thorough analysis; develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Facilitate communication among technical teams, clients, vendors, and executive leadership; prepare status reports and presentations to keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Lead release management activities including deployment planning, coordination with IT infrastructure teams, and post-implementation reviews to ensure smooth transitions.

Experience:

  • Proven experience managing complex IT projects within MSP environments.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as O365, AWS; experience integrating cloud solutions into enterprise architectures (cloud or on premises).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering; analysis skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in program management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership qualities coupled with exceptional communication skills; capable of negotiating priorities across diverse teams while fostering collaboration.
